Are you ready to launch your start up company or expand your existing business?
Thanks to crowdfunding, anyone can bring an idea, service, product or invention to life, with a little help from the Internet.
Here are 6 basic steps to help you get started making that dream a reality.
1. Write a detailed business plan describing your business, management team, and product or service.
2. Prepare a short video that shows how your product or service works and why it is the best in the marketplace.
3. Create a budget and explain in detail how you intend to spend the funds generated.
4. Get your accounting records up to date. The SEC will require companies to comply with guidelines which include accurate and up to date financial statements.
5. Incorporate your business. Usually a C Corporation is the best entity to use.
6. Get your CPA or accountant involved. You need to work with someone who is up to date on the crowdfunding laws.
